Saroosh Ahmed Joins Sidecar as Chief Financial Officer

Ahmed brings a 20-year track record of financial leadership, including completing Datapipe’s acquisition by Rackspace

PHILADELPHIA – Sidecar has named Saroosh Ahmed the company’s Chief Financial Officer. Ahmed brings 20 years experience leading corporate finance, strategic planning, business operations, and mergers and acquisitions for Fortune 500 companies and private equity backed organizations.

“Saroosh has elevated both high-velocity and mature technology businesses through a combination of growth strategy, operations, fundraising, and acquisitions,” said Andre Golsorkhi, founder and CEO of Sidecar. “His guidance will be instrumental in how we measure the trends and economics of our market, and capitalize on opportunities that strengthen top- and bottom-line results.”

Ahmed is the latest senior leader to join Sidecar. The company recently expanded its Board of Directors with the addition of Ralph Folz, former Executive Chairman and CEO of WordStream.

Before joining Sidecar, Ahmed was Senior Vice President of Finance for Datapipe, a global provider of managed private and public cloud solutions. He played a key role in the growth of the company, leading to a successful acquisition of Datapipe by Rackspace in 2017.

Prior to Datapipe, Ahmed held senior finance positions at Time Warner Cable (later acquired by Spectrum). There he supported the launch of several new businesses to drive growth, including Time Warner Cable’s expansion into Home Security & Automation. Ahmed also spent 10 years in finance, operations, and M&A leadership roles at RCN. His experience culminated in his position as Vice President and General Manager of the company’s largest business division, where he architected a successful turnaround of its operations.
